GOing to Ghana

We are so excited to introduce everyone to the Ochs family!! They left the US on September 29 to serve in various capacities with FTO for a year.  We know God has great plans for them in Ghana and we are anxious to watch Him work through them!

They will be helping us set up a mentoring program for the children at Great Mission International and Nyame Dua-Teshie.  Our vision is to have people in various professions speak to the children at both homes once a month.  Then, once a quarter the children 10 and up will be going on a field trip to actually see people doing their jobs.  Our goal, with Daddy Paul and Daddy John, is to expose the children to various occupations, train and disciple the young people of Ghana as they will be leaders of the next generation.

Also, Grandma will be helping Etornam and the ladies design new products with her seamstress abilities.  We are excited about the new opportunities this will open up for our single moms and in turn, for the children of Ghana.  Our greatest desire is to keep families united with their children and to empower them as individuals.

Along with these two projects, the Ochs family will be serving alongside our in country partners at GMI, ND and City of Refuge plus with the Beebes on various other things.  They will also be working with MLI.  Please join us in praying for the Ochs family as they adjust to life in Ghana and away from family and friends, but also that the Lord would lay out HIS specific plans for their time in Ghana.

Isaiah 6:8 – Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”  And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
