Feeding the Orphans is raising money to build a Safe House for the children who are fishing slaves on Lake Volta in Ghana, West Africa.
A man will go to a child’s mother and promise to give her child an education and three meals a day. The mother says yes because she cannot care for her child. The “master” will then make the children work 17 hours a day and if the nets get tangled under the water they make the children dive in and untangle them. Many kids drown. If the child does not untangle the nets the “master” will hit them on the head with a board. These kids are anywhere from 4 years to 17 years.
So we have partnered with City of Refuge Ministries and we are now building these kids a “Safe House”. The house will hold 22 kids. We need $25,000 to finish this house. This is where you come in!!!! These kids NEED you to help them. They NEED you to gather your friends and raise $1,000. We are challenging 25 youth groups across the country to raise $1,000 to save lives.
