It is a miracle that baby Lisa survived. She was left to an alcoholic aunt after her mom abandoned her. The aunt rejected her, mistreated her and would leave her alone for long periods of time. One night, neighbors were repairing a car and heard a child screaming. They found the abandoned child locked in the house alone. Another time, the baby was left by the aunt at a business where alcohol is sold. At 16 months old, she was dying of malnutrition and was very small. But she now has hope. The World Help child sponsorship program works to help children like Lisa grow and learn in an environment full of God’s compassionate love.
